Enjoy the Ride

Hello Friends,

Thought I’d share a fun little card that could be used for multiple purposes.  This card features the Lawn Fawn “Admit One” set.

I broke out some My Mind’s Eye paper.  I just adore their patterned paper.  I love getting the mini packs so that the patterns and colors coordinate. It makes is so fun and easy to pull a card together.

Hope you’re having a fabulous week so far.

Blissful birthday wishes

Hi Friends

I hope you are doing well.  We’ve been busy here, doing work around the house, specifically outside in the yard. Our yard has started to come together. There’s been a lot of sweat going into that. We’ve planted shrubs, flowers, and spread mulch.  There’s still tasks left to do (more mulch to spread), but we’re getting there.

Thus, I’ve not spent a lot of time crafting.  I’ve been tired and not really inspired.  However, I do have some projects to share this week.  This card is one I made for a dear friend (Marissa, this is your mom’s birthday card in case you’re checking).

Marla, my sweet friend, absolutely loves trees, leaves, and foliage.  So I came up with this little card for her.  I know I’ve said it before, but I adore the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals set.

Thanks for stopping in.  Remember there’s a fabulous Lawnscaping sketch challenge going on right now with great prizes up for grabs. I hope you decide to play!

Wee Memories Challenge

partytime

Hi Friends

I thought I’d play in this week’s “Wee Memories” challenge which is Party Themed Projects. This is perfect because I needed a birthday celebration card for my favorite cousin (or cousin-in-law as the case may be).

Here’s what I came up with:

DSC_0224

Michelle (above referenced cousin) has a little yorkie-poo that she loves to dress up in sweaters, Halloween costumes, etc. So I thought it would be fun to incorporate that into the card design. I threw in some balloons to add to the party feel of the card. Hopefully, she’ll like it.

Thanks for stopping in today, have a great week.

Lawnscaping challenge 12

Lawnscaping_Ch_12_400
HI Friends,

It’s time for another Lawnscaping challenge, and this time it’s a sketch challenge. We have a fabulous sketch designed by the winner of the Lawnscaping sketch challenge, Jennifer Rzasa. Here it is:

I am in love with Lawn Fawn’s Blissful Botanicals, so I decided to use it for this challenge. I also used the Lawn Fawn “Hello Friend” set which Is so versatile.

That patterned paper was given to us by our fabulous sponsor, Nikki Sivils. There’s an amazing package of Nikki Sivils’ goodies that will go to the winner of the challenge. There will also be a guest designer spot to the winner! Lots of fun up for grabs.

Another Father’s day card

Hi Friends,

I have another Lawn Fawn card to share today featuring the Schoolhouse backdrops set.  I usually make a couple cards with each of the featured sets.

So, today’s card is one that I didn’t submit to be used during the official Inspiration week activities, but with Father’s day being Sunday, I thought I’d share it.

DSC_0233

I struggle making cards for men.  I know this is a common woe amongst us card-makers.  I think this background set is a good fit masculine cards.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I’ve been trying to visit and comment on blogs, but blogger has been giving me fits and not letting me comment. I’ve gone to many blogs to comment and not been able to. I do apologize, I have enjoyed seeing many of your creations and look forward to visiting your blogs and being able to comment soon.

Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals

Hi Friends,

Okay, I am SO excited about today’s Lawn Fawn set, “Blissful Botanicals.”  This set is a set that I have been asking Kelly for since Lawn Fawn was launched. And I mean I asked her about it A LOT.  When I saw it, I was not disappointed. I LOVE THIS SET!!!  There are so many options with it.  Here’s my sample for today’s reveal:

Can I tell you how much fun I had making this card?? Coloring and cutting are two of my favorite card-making techniques, and this set is so perfect for it.  It’s also great for paper-piecing, and men’s cards too (sans flowers and butterflies).

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration. Then run, and order this set.  It’s a must have.

Schoolhouse Backdrops

Hi Again,

It’s day 2 in the Lawn Fawn June inspiration week. Today, we’re previewing the “Schoolhouse Backdrops” set.

This set would be so cute to make cards for teachers as gifts, or to scrapbook with.  Since I needed Father’s day cards, I went that route. Here’s what I came up with:

On the Mend

Hi Friends,

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend. I’m excited that we are ready for Lawn Fawn’s June inspiration week. We’re kicking it off with the “On the Mend” set. This set has all the images you’d need for a get well card. The images are fun and whimsical and certain to cheer up anyone who’s “on the mend.”

Here’s the card that I made for the reveal:

Isn’t that turtle just so dang cute? I threw in the clouds from “Bon Voyage” and the butterfly from “Critters in the Burbs” to finish out the scene.

The paper is American Crafts and the white that I stamped and colored the images on is “Neenah.” I used some twine from the “Twinery,” and a button from PTI.

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog to see the other designers’ cards.

Another Papertrix preview

Hi Friends

How are you doing? Is it hot in your area of the country? Geez, in Indiana, we skipped spring and went from winter to the dog days of summer. It’s been 90+ degrees. That’s crazy!  I hoping things will cool off to more pleasant temps soon.

I thought I’d share another card that we’ll be making on Saturday at Papertrix in Nashville, Indiana.

DSC_0258

This card features a Lawn Fawn Classic, Sew Lovely. I just love this set.  I figured it would be perfect for people to make.

Just as a reminder, there will be two classes on Saturday June 11. One will begin at noon and go until 2:00, and the second will start at 3:00 and go until 5:00. The cost is $20 per class, but there is a discount if you sign up for both! There will be a door prize for each class, and we’ll just have lots of fun. If you live nearby, I’d love for you to join us.

Thanks for stopping in!

Lawnscaping challenge

Hey Friends
I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. I always sit amazed at how quickly they go by.
It’s time again for another Lawnscaping challenge, and this one is one I think many will love. We’re featuring Clean and Simple designs! Lawnscaping_Ch_11_400

Clean and Simple designs are so popular now, so I am so excited to see what you all come up with. I know we’re going to be blown away. Each challenge, it’s so fun to see all the original ideas!

We are grateful to have Simon Says Stamp sponsoring us. At stake is a $25 gift card to their store!

Here is what I came up with for the challenge, a set of quick baby cards. I think these would be great to mass produce for announcements, thank you’s, invites, etc. They were really quick to make which makes them ideal for mass producing.

I used Lawn Fawn’s “Plus One” set which has so many cute images for baby cards. I love coloring, so it was hard for me just to stamp them, but the idea was to do something quick.
Be sure to check out the other design team members’, including our fabulous guest designer, Vera, cards at the Lawnscaping blog. We are so excited to see what you create.
Hugs and Blessings

Back to work

Hi All

Well, after a long weekend (here in the U.S.), it’s off to work.  I’m grateful to say that this will be a short week in the office as I am going to a conference later in the week. It’s just a day trip. The conference is outside of Chicago, so I am going to spend the night with my dear friend and take Friday off.

Anyway, for today’s card. I thought I’d share one I made using a Paper Smooches set, “Hang Ups.”  I love sets that can build on each other, so this one caught my eye right off. I have gotten very discerning about the stamps I purchase because I love my Lawn Fawn stamps so much that I use them most of the time.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, here is my card:

I made this card awhile back using one of Tiff’s previous sketches but didn’t get it posted in time.  That’s okay, it provided great inspiration.  She posts some amazing sketches on Sundays, I encourage you to check them out if you don’t already.

Here’s what the sketch that the card is based on.

(She’s got a new one posted, so I’d encourage you to check it out).

Thanks for stopping by.
